A fresh approach to energy procurement - now open

Procurement consultancy 2buy2 has announced the launch of its most inclusive Energy Basket to date, opening up access to any organisation with a commercial meter, regardless of sector. The initiative is designed to pool energy demand from organisations into a single, powerful buying group – unlocking access to wholesale energy markets and green electricity that’s genuinely renewable.

This new basket begins supply on 1st October 2025 and runs until 30th September 2030. By grouping customers together into a shared purchasing contract, 2buy2 is enabling organisations that traditionally lack the scale to negotiate flexible, long-term contracts to participate in a professionally managed energy strategy.

“We’ve spent over a decade helping organisations with the upheavals of volatile energy markets. What we’re offering here is simple: green energy, transparent terms and one trusted supplier - without the barriers that usually prevent some organisations from accessing wholesale energy rates.”

Key Features of the New Energy Basket

  • 100% Renewable Electricity as Standard
Every organisation in the basket receives electricity from verified renewable sources – no offsets, no vague claims, just pure green power delivered via a single supplier.
  • Centralised Billing and One Credit Check
No more juggling multiple bills or reapplying for credit with different energy providers. This basket simplifies the paperwork and reduces administrative burden.
  • Flexible Entry and Exit Options
The agreement spans five years, but participants can leave early with notice before 1st April 2028. Interim contracts are available for those needing supply before the October 2025 start date.
  • Hedged Procurement Model
Unlike fixed retail contracts, this basket spreads energy purchases over time – reducing exposure to price spikes and helping participants plan more accurately for their budgets.
  • Open Access
Organisations of any size can join – no minimum consumption levels required. Whether you’re a single-site business or a multi-sites national organisation, you’re eligible.

Why It Matters

Most smaller organisations buy energy at retail prices, often locked into rates that don’t reflect current market conditions. They rarely have the time, expertise or usage volume to engage with wholesale energy markets directly. The 2buy2 Energy Basket removes those barriers by managing procurement on their behalf, using aggregated buying power and a rigorous risk-managed strategy to pursue better outcomes.

With over 10 years of experience managing group energy contracts, 2buy2 brings oversight, consistency and deep knowledge of procurement requirements for a wide range of sectors.

How to Join

Organisations can register interest and begin the process by completing a simple online form. Once a Letter of Authority (LOA) is signed, 2buy2 will collect the necessary data and begin the onboarding process.
