Published: Tuesday 9th February 2021 at 10:58

Do you know anyone between 16-24 years old and unemployed due to the recent climate?

2buy2 have decided to operate the Government Kickstart scheme to help.

What is the Kickstart Scheme?

In September 2020, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced the 'Kickstart Scheme'. This will offer hundreds of thousands of job opportunities over the next two years. Funding for this scheme is from the UK Government.

The vacancies available will provide a 6-month paid job with a local employer. It provides a fully-funded opportunity for young people to gain experience of working.

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must be:

  • aged between 16-24 years old
  • claiming Universal Credit
  • at risk of long-term unemployment

The successful candidates will work 25 hours a week and be paid at the foundation Living Wage rate.
