Today we want to congratulate Victoria Lawson on winning kudos of the month for October!
Victoria is our Schools Procurement and Business Specialist and has been for over 3 years now, it is a varied role that focuses on building relationships with schools and trusts across the region of Cumbria, saving them money through advising on buying activity and compliancy.
A typical day for Victoria involves actively engaging with customers and suppliers, responding to customer queries, and providing support by listening to their needs. She also identifies procurement opportunities that can save both money and efficiencies.
It’s a busy role that involves a lot of ongoing projects, but Victoria is able to elegantly stay calm under pressure. From her dedication and hard work, she earned 13 kudos!
Part of her work in October took her to the NorthEast Conference at St James Park, an in-person event that meant she was able to do what she does best – build relationships and meet customers. That wasn’t the only conference in Victoria’s calendar last month though, she was also a speaker in the Buying for Schools Conference where she expertly delivered two sessions
She takes pride in her varied workload and enjoys the different challenges that come with it, from talking with numerous schools over October, she has been able to save them across categories from Office Supplies to Grounds Maintenance.
Her punctuality in everything she does makes her a reliable person that is driven to complete all tasks – no matter how big or small – to a high standard that she upholds throughout her workday.
We are extremely thankful for Victoria and all the work that she does, we couldn’t be happier that her efforts are being recognised and celebrated.
